Wins for football team and volleyball team
The eighth grade Ram football team remained undefeated on the season and earned their third road win by defeating the Southeast Valley Jaguars in Burnside 40-14 on Oct. 6.
Due to low numbers for Southeast Valley, this was only a four quarter game with no fifth quarter or second game. The Rams started the game with a 32 yard run and a touchdown by Xavier Hayes. The PAT by Brandon Hoyle was good. The next touchdown came from Colby Kafer on a 45 yard run and the score was 13-0 after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Rams scored one touchdown on a 15 yard pass from Brent Riley to Carter Morton. The score was 19-0 at the half.
In the second half the Rams also found the end zone with another 35 yard pass from Riley to Hayes and the PAT attempt by Hoyle was good. The score was 26-8 at the end of the third quarter.
The Rams scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, one on a 45 yard run by Kafer and the other on a 10 yard run, also by Kafer. The PAT after the second was faked with a pass from Morton to Will Hansen for two points. The final score was 40-16. The Rams are 5-0 so far in their season.
“I feel these kids have come a long way since last year. They are really maturing and raising their game to the next level,” coach Chad Morton said.

This was a great way to end the season with such strong serving,” coach Teresa Green said.
“Harleigh Weir has improved tremendously throughout the season as our setter. She is quick to get to the ball and set us up. Sophia Havens is a top-notch setter as well, but we really like her playing middle. Kylie Roach, Julia Saul, Harleigh Weir, Sophia Havens, Paige Henning, Ellie Madson, and Aubrey Heupel all did a nice job serving,” the coach said.
